The Executive Mayor of the Kouga Municipality, Clr Horatio Hendricks, has graciously agreed to speak at the long-postponed launch of the two books “Impressions of St Francis” and “Impressions of Jeffreys Bay”, to be held at the Seashells Holiday Apartments & Conference Centre in Jeffreys Bay on June 6th at 4.30 pm.
“The Keynote speaker will be Kouga’s own inimitable historian, raconteur and author, Bartle Logie, and we would like to invite residents of the two towns to have a glass of wine with us after the speeches,” said Write-On’s Frank Nunan.
The two books take you on a “Photographic Journey” through St Francis Bay and Cape St Francis, and Jeffreys Bay, and consist to a large extent of pictures taken by residents of and visitors to our beautiful Kouga towns. They are the brainchild of Write-On Publishing’s Frank Nunan and were inspired by a similar book created by author and former ambassador Mzuvukile Maqetuka about his hometown of Graaf Reinett. Ambassador Maqetuka is now a resident of Jeffreys Bay.
Mayor Hendricks expressed his enthusiastic support for the project, and congratulated Write-On Publishing for its initiative in promoting the delights and beauty of the Kouga region.
The official proceedings at the launch will be followed by a Cheese and Wine reception. All welcome!
